WandaVision’s Agatha Harkness Will Star In New Spin-Off Show

Agatha Harkness, the villain from WandaVision, is returning. Kathryn Hahn will allegedly resume her role as the titular witch, who spent much of WandaVision’s Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar stint as nosy neighbor Agnes.

Jac Schaeffer, the creator, head writer, and executive producer of WandaVision, will reprise his roles in the WandaVision Agatha spin-off, which is supposed to be a dark comedy. On WandaVision, Hahn was a riot and a pleasure, contributing to the Emmy-winning earworm “Agatha All Along.” WandaVision decided to leave her alive and well, and now we know why.

Wanda Maximoff/ Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) used her abilities to convert Agatha back to her “Agnes” mentality in the WandaVision series finale, trapping Agatha inside Westview.

The WandaVision Agatha spin-off might follow “Agnes” as she (somehow) realizes who she is and tries to undo Wanda’s spell on her. Given that WandaVision was nominated for 23 Emmys this year — and won three — it seems natural that Marvel would choose Schaeffer to direct the spin-off.

WandaVision However, the program will not be renewed for a second season. It was intended to be a limited series that would lead into future Marvel Cinematic Universe films.

The WandaVision conclusion post-credits scene hinted at what Olsen will be up to in next year’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and the WandaVision finale post-credits scene hinted at what she will be up to. Monica Rambeau’s actress Teyonah Parris will appear in The Marvels, which will premiere in November 2022.

And now we know what will happen to Hahn’s character. Paul Bettany’s Vision is the only one left. There’s no news yet on what’s going on with him. While Vision is officially dead, in the WandaVision finale, one of his forms — all-white The Vision — drifted away.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about a Marvel Disney+ series getting a spin-off. In March, it was reported that Marvel Studios was working on a spin-off for Hawkeye, the upcoming Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld series that will launch on Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar on November 24. Echo/ Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox), the MCU’s first Native American superhero, is believed to be the focus of the Hawkeye spin-off, which is directed by husband-and-wife team Etan and Emily Cohen.
