Dune is finally ready to broadcast on HBO Max after several delays – and much anger from director Denis Villeneuve himself. A spokesperson confirmed to news outlets that it will arrive a day early, on October 21st at 6 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. PT.
I hope you hear from them soon so you can plan your watch party! Because the $10 plan doesn’t include day-and-date Warner Bros. movie releases, you’ll need to upgrade to HBO Max’s $15-per-month ad-free plan.
If you want to see what you’re in for, we’ve got a few Dune trailers up to this point, and two of them are included here.
There will also be a 4K Blu-ray release of the original cult great 1984 David Lynch version, if you prefer. (Though it’s now due out in December rather than August.) Characters from the upcoming film have also appeared in Fortnite.
