On May 20th, Netflix’s science fiction anthology series Love, Death, and Robots will premiere its third “volume.” The firm announced the release with a brief film on Monday — but don’t be deceived by the early footage of The Crown and The Queen’s Gambit. When it debuted Volume 2 nearly precisely one year ago, the streaming service suggested that a third volume was on the way, but only cited a vague “2022” release date.
Netflix did not say how many episodes will be featured in the upcoming season in the trailer. Volume 1 featured 18 episodes, Volume 2 had eight, and according to an IGN story from last year, the third volume will also include eight episodes. Netflix has been contacted to determine if this is still the situation.
