The original Cowboy Bebop anime series will be added to Netflix’s collection on October 21st, allowing you roughly a month to catch up before the live-action series premieres on November 19th.
For me personally, this is fantastic news. I’ve been fascinated by what Netflix has revealed so far from the live-action series — which has consisted of a series of pictures and the opening title sequence, which is heavily influenced by the anime — but I haven’t seen the original program. Now that the entire program is available on Netflix, I can watch it all with just one membership.
It’s unknown whether Cowboy Bebop will be pulled from Hulu, Funimation, or any of the other streaming services where it’s presently accessible as a result of the transfer to Netflix. It’s also unclear if the show will be updated or restored in any manner, based only on Netflix’s post.
