A man has escaped from Nairobi police cells after confessing to murdering more than ten children in Kenya.
Masten Wanjala was scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday in connection with the deaths of at least 14 boys in Nairobi and other parts of Kenya.
During the morning roll call, police claim they realized he had vanished.
He was being held while police investigated a string of child murders that horrified the country.
Three officers who were on duty at the time of his escape from the Jogoo Road police station in Nairobi’s Eastlands neighborhood have been detained.
Authorities have begun a manhunt for the guy, who has been characterized as highly dangerous by authorities.
Mr Wanjala confessed to drugging and murdering the young boys, as well as consuming their blood in some cases, after he was detained in July.
