An Egyptian court has asked the government to live telecast the execution of the murderer of girl student Naira Ashraf. The court said that the punishment of those who consider innocent girls to be toys should become an example. The soul of those who think like this should be shaken.
Naira Ashraf was a 21-year-old university student. He was stabbed to death on June 20 not far from Cairo. The name of the convict is Mohammad Adal. He was arrested. The court has sentenced him to death. Adal was Naira’s senior at the university.
Exactly 3 days after this incident i.e. on June 23, Iman Rashid of the same age was murdered in Jordan. His killer was a classmate. When the police reached to arrest the murderer, he shot himself and committed suicide.
Naira’s case At a glance
Naira was murdered in Manshura, 80 km from the capital Cairo. The murderer was later arrested. A court hearing took place last month. Mohamed Adal confessed to the crime. He said – wanted to marry Naira. He turned down the offer. I killed him in anger. After two days of hearing, the court gave the verdict – Adal should be given death sentence.
The special thing is that the video of Naira’s murder also went viral on social media. At the behest of the murderer, a friend of his had shot it. Later this content i.e. video was removed from all social media platforms.
Appeal to the government of
the court The Criminal Court of Manshura, which ordered Adal to be hanged, also made a very important demand from the government on Sunday. The court said- We want the government and private TV channels to live telecast the death sentence of Naira’s killer. The government should change the law. It will be beneficial that the mentally ill and other people with criminal mindset will get a lesson. Seeing the punishment live, his soul will tremble. We have also written a letter to the government regarding this.
The government can also accept this demand of the court. In 1998, a woman and her two children were murdered by three men in Cairo. All of them were hanged. This sentence was telecasted live on TV.
