Humble Bundle Has Raised Over $200 Million For Charity

If you play PC games, there’s a high chance you’ve bought anything from Humble Bundle: a digital storefront that frequently releases time-limited, pay-what-you-want game packages, with a portion of the revenues going to charity.

This week, the firm reported that it had raised more than $200 million for charitable causes all across the world, so bravo, gamers.

The Humble Bundle concept was initially introduced in 2010 by Wolfire Games, an independent game studio, but it was quickly split off into its own organization, complete with a dedicated shop and publishing subsidiary called Humble Games.

Humble Choice, a monthly membership service, now provides bundles of books, comics, and software, as well as a monthly subscription service. Through their Humble Heal package, the company recently raised more over $1.17 million for COVID-19 relief efforts.

“Today, we’re thrilled to share that tens of millions of you have now helped raise a total of $200 million via your Humble purchases, resulting in unprecedented support from the worldwide gaming community for vital social causes,” the firm stated in a blog post.
