Woman Screams to Ward Off Attempted Abductor in Miami

The man who allegedly attempted to kidnap a lady as she went home on Wednesday night is being sought by Miami Police.

According to Miami Police, the attempted kidnapping took place in the 2200 block of Southwest 24th Street just before 9 p.m.

According to the woman, she was walking when she felt a hand grab her from behind, according to authorities.

She informed the police that she had run into the man after leaving a neighboring store and was on her way home.

Police said that when the woman yelled for assistance, the attacker released her and fled.

A adjacent home’s surveillance camera captures the woman strolling through the neighborhood and someone chasing after her.

She can be heard begging for help, and someone can be seen racing away in the opposite direction just out of view.

Residents can be heard coming out of their homes and asking the victim what happened and whether she is OK as she sobs.

A 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8 Hispanic man with a light complexion, a medium frame, and a large stomach is how the subject is characterized. He was dressed in khaki shorts, a dark cap, a blue disposable surgical mask, and a black blouse.
