According to reports, the guy who was hit by a vehicle and fled the scene last Thursday in northwest Miami-Dade County has already passed away from his injuries.
The victim of the fatal hit-and-run on November 22 was pronounced dead on Monday, according to Miami-Dade Police.
His family has identified him as 60-year-old Oswaldo Rojas, but police have not made that information public.
The crime occurred close to the corner of Northwest 7th Avenue and 103rd Street.
They say the truck driver had the right of way, but the guy in the wheelchair lost control and was hit.
Police say it’s unlikely the tractor-trailer driver knew he struck anything before he drove off.
The police said on Monday that they still haven’t found the tractor-trailer driver.
