An unexploded bomb was discovered in a Liverpool lake and later destroyed by an army unit.
At around 17:20 BST on Tuesday, a member of the public discovered the device at Greenbank Park in the city’s Mossley Hill neighborhood, according to Merseyside Police.
During World War II, Liverpool was extensively bombed, but the police were unable to determine if it was a military device.
A controlled explosion was carried out as the area was cordoned off by bomb disposal specialists.
Since then, the park has reopened.
