Two men shot in the legs near Bonfire Night display

According to authorities, two males were shot in the legs in a “horrendous” crime that took place close to a bonfire night show.

The gunshot, which occurred on Saturday around 23:00 GMT, was seen by “several” persons at the bonfire at Broad Hey in Netherton, Merseyside, according to police.

They stated that the gunshot victims were transferred to a hospital for treatment after suffering severe leg injuries.

After the “targeted” gunshot, a white guy wearing black was spotted fleeing the area, according to authorities.

Officers were “keeping an open mind” regarding the incident’s cause, according to Det Insp. Andy Dykes.

“We acknowledge that those who witnessed it happen or live close may be concerned and possibly feel afraid,” he continued.

Anyone with information, CCTV video, or doorbell footage of the incident is asked to contact Merseyside Police.
