Two guys who were detained on murder suspicion are still being looked at in relation to the death of a man.
Police have not released the identify of the 57-year-old man who was discovered dead at a house on Bath Street in Southport on July 24.
The findings of a post-mortem examination had been delayed, according to Merseyside Police, pending toxicology testing.
Two males, 51 and 54, who were detained the day after the corpse was found and were taken into custody, have been freed on bond.
