Two guys have been detained on suspicion of killing a man who died at an internet café after being assaulted.
On April 16, shortly before 18:00 BST, Michael Toohey, 18, was assaulted on London Road in Liverpool city centre.
A post-mortem examination revealed he died from several injuries, according to Merseyside Police.
A 31-year-old Walton man and a 33-year-old man from an unknown address have been arrested and will be questioned by investigators.
After being detained on suspicion of helping an offender, a 34-year-old lady from Fazakerley remains on bail.
Detective Chief Inspector Steve McGrath asked anybody with information to contact him.
“This happened on a Saturday evening in a crowded neighborhood,” he claimed.
“There were a lot of persons standing at bus stations on London Road, strolling through TJ Hughes, or driving down London Road at the time who may have seen this event or a car driving recklessly.”
Mr Toohey’s relatives described him as a “beautiful, well-mannered, tranquil young guy” who was three months away from becoming a parent.
“He was such a character,” his family recalled, “yet he never had a negative bone in his body and never said anything ill about anyone.”
