Transgender Woman Kicked Out of SW Florida Club for Using Women’s Restroom

A transgender lady is seeking explanations after claiming that security asked her to leave a nightclub in southwest Florida because she had used the women’s toilet.

When Piper Ayers and a group of pals visited the Dixie Roadhouse in Cape Coral, security informed her she had to use the men’s toilet. She told NBC station WBBH-TV that she was instructed to do so.

Security informed Ayers that males are not permitted to use the women’s toilet. Her companions started to wonder about the situation, so club management intervened.

As a result, Ayers recounted, “we went and spoke to the manager, and the only thing he could say is what it says on your ID.”

Ayers’ name and gender on her state identification have not been officially altered.

Ayers remembered, “The next thing you know, they grab a hold of me and start pushing me out the front door.”

Ayers’ organization claimed to have attempted to reason with club authorities, according to a number of its members.

You must comprehend what a trans woman is since she is a lady. This person is not a cross-dresser or a drag queen. You must treat this trans girl like a lady because she is one,” Sean Kellier instructed the security personnel.

A request for response from the station was not answered by Dixie Roadhouse, which has a sign telling patrons not to enter if they are “racist, sexist, homophobic, or simply a jerk.”

“I just felt unworthy. Like I wasn’t a human or didn’t have emotions or sensations. Just no respect,” said Ayers.
