The I-94/35E Improvement Project in downtown St. Paul Will Close More Lanes and Ramps

According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, a resurfacing project on Interstates 94 and 35E in downtown St. Paul will restrict a few lanes and ramps from Monday night through early July.

The ramp from eastbound I-94 to East Seventh Street, the slip ramp from northbound I-35E to eastbound I-94, the ramp from Jackson Street to northbound I-35E, and the ramp from Jackson Street to eastbound I-94 will all be closed, according to MnDOT in a Monday press release.

The project’s goal is to repair and resurface I-94 between Western Avenue and Mounds Boulevard, as well as I-35E between I-94 and University Avenue, over the course of two years, beginning in summer 2021 and ending this autumn.

Detours will be posted, and MnDOT’s website will provide further information on the project.
