A alleged machete assault in Liverpool left many victims with cut wounds that needed to be treated in the hospital.
At around 17:30 BST, Merseyside Police reported that the male offender was spotted yelling and assaulting “a number of individuals” in Arkles Lane before proceeding to Ince Avenue, Anfield.
The number of attackers has not yet been disclosed by the police, however they did state that the injured were not believed to be in danger of dying.
Anfield-based guy has been taken into custody.
He was taken into custody near Stanley Park.
The event, according to authorities, is not thought to be connected to terrorism.
Det Ch Insp Cath Cummings said, “It would have been scary for those who were assaulted as well as those who saw it, and we will offer them with our full assistance.”
She said that after responding quickly, police detained a suspect, putting “an stop to the event and removing any remaining threat to the public.”
Even though we are confident that nobody else is to blame, more police will be stationed on high-visibility patrols in the Anfield area for the next several days, she continued.
Several cordons have been set up as police conduct forensic investigations.
Additionally, police are looking into CCTV and doing house-to-house investigations.
