According to sheriff’s authorities, a security guard was shot and injured Wednesday night during an attempted robbery at an internet café in Lake County’s Dona Vista neighborhood.
Around 6:30 p.m., a shooting took place at a website for online gambling at 37415 State Road 19, not far from Umatilla.
According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, a guy entered the building and started shooting, hitting one person. According to deputies, the person was flown to a hospital and was in stable condition.
According to the agency’s spokesperson, Lt. Fred Jones, two males are wanted in connection with the incident.
How many persons were present inside the building when the incident took place is unknown.
No one has been taken into custody, and the offenders’ full descriptions have not been made public.
When Rachel Cannady learned that there had been a gunshot along S.R. 19 not far from her house, she was furious.
We are aware that it is bad. Being educated individuals, we can hear the loud music and observe people crossing the street. We are aware that they are there because of their phony membership, Cannady stated. “I want this facility to be closed down, and I want everyone who has been spending time here to find something more worthwhile to do with their lives.”
In 2017, authorities claimed to have closed down Hot Spot II, an illegal gaming enterprise, at the same location.
