According to authorities, a cyclist was critically hurt by a car whose driver “deliberately targeted” him.
The guy, in his 20s, was struck by a black Ford Fiesta car on Aldford Road, Kirkby, at approximately 21:30 BST on Sunday, according to Merseyside Police.
The rider was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, according to the police.
Det Insp Barbara Hebden, appealing for witnesses, said the police were “working hard” to trace the motorist, who had fled the scene on foot.
She requested anybody who observed the automobile in the Aldford Road area to contact the police, as well as any drivers with dashcam evidence.
“We believe he was purposefully targeted by the driver of the automobile and we are working hard to discover the individual responsible,” she added, adding that the rider had suffered “severe injuries.”
