Pedestrian Dies After Being Hit by Vehicle on Lake Street-Marshall Avenue Bridge

At the Lake Street-Marshall Avenue Bridge in St. Paul, a man was murdered early Saturday morning when he was struck by a car.

About 2:20 a.m., police arrived on the scene and discovered a guy in his mid-40s laying in a traffic lane with serious head damage. According to the St. Paul Police Department, he was transferred to the Hennepin County Medical Center, where he eventually died.

The vehicle’s driver, a 72-year-old male, stayed at the site and cooperated with the inquiry. According to authorities, officers found no evidence of intoxication.

According to authorities, the pedestrian was spotted wandering in the center of the road before the collision.

The matter is still being investigated.
