As part of the Capital City Bikeway project, a network of cycling facilities across downtown St. Paul, a bikeway will be built on Kellogg Boulevard between St. Peter Street and Jackson Street in 2023.
The bulk of downtown will be within a few blocks of a bike and pedestrian route once the project is finished. The proposal, according to planners, will boost St. Paul’s retail sales, property prices, and vacancy rates.
They also mentioned the advantages of exercise for your health. The initial section of the bikeway, which runs along Jackson Street from University Avenue to Kellogg Boulevard, was built in December of 2017 to kick off the project.
An open house is being held for the community to learn more about the project and provide input. On July 20, from 5 to 7 p.m., there will be an open house at Kellogg Square Apartments, 111 E. Kellogg Boulevard, in the party room.
