According to authorities, a motorcycle died after falling into a field as he approached a turn.
He “failed to negotiate a left-hand turn” in Bowker’s Green Lane, Aughton, at around 19:40 BST on Friday, according to officers.
According to Lancashire Police, the 61-year-old man was traveling with two pals from Bootle, Merseyside.
He was transferred to Royal Aintree Hospital, where he eventually died, after being treated by paramedics and the North West Air Ambulance.
Lancashire Police have opened an investigation and have asked anyone with information to get in touch.
