In connection with the May murder of a man in unincorporated Central Broward, the Broward Sheriff’s Office made an arrest on Friday.
According to BSO, William Shackelford, 43, is charged with third-degree criminal murder for an event that happened on May 3’s morning close to Fort Lauderdale.
Along with Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue, BSO deputies arrived to the location in the 600 block of Northwest 27th Avenue.
An adult male victim was taken by paramedics to a local hospital, where doctors declared him dead, according to BSO.
Detectives from the Homicide Unit looked into the case for several months before concluding that Shackelford was the murderer.
Shackelford was taken into jail on Friday, December 23, after BSO Homicide investigators had secured an arrest warrant on Thursday, December 22.
Shackelford is anticipated to be sent to a jail in Broward County.
