The New Jersey State Police said that a 14-year-old girl was critically hurt after being ejected following a collision on the Garden State Parkway early on Saturday morning. The minivan’s driver was a 51-year-old Maplewood lady, according to them.
On Monday, the police declined to provide any more information either the teen’s or the driver’s condition.
According to the police, troopers were dispatched to the Garden State Parkway south milepost 140.5 in Kenilworth at 9:31 a.m.
They said that the girl was thrown from the Toyota Sienna that the Maplewood lady was driving as it was moving south and collided with the right railing.
The car then slammed into a concrete bridge support and another guardrail before veering to the left and slamming into a concrete barrier median, according to the police.
