Man Knocked Unconscious During Assault Outside Wavertree Pub

After being struck unconscious outside a bar, a man is in a critical condition in the hospital.

Following an altercation between two guys, the victim was beaten outside The Dog House in Wavertree, Liverpool, at around 23:30 BST on Sunday.

According to Merseyside Police, the suspect ran away from the crime scene via Church Road and into Heathfield Road.

According to the force, the victim sustained severe but non-life-threatening wounds.

A Caucasian male in his early 20s with short brown hair is the suspect.

At the time of the event, he was donning a dark-colored hooded sweater and pair of dark-colored shorts.

Between Smithdown Road and Kenyon Road, Church Road was blocked up.

Merseyside Police Detective Inspector Chris Saidi has issued an appeal for any witnesses who may have been at the bar or who may have dashcam footage to come forward.
