A Liverpool man was sentenced to life in prison for stabbing his uncle to death.
Father-of-four In September 2020, Paul Morgan, 39, was stabbed in the chest at a residence on Prince William Street in Liverpool.
Joshua Morgan, of the same address, was sentenced to a minimum of 17 years in prison at Liverpool Crown Court.
The 22-year-old had admitted to murder and having a bladed object in his possession.
Following the incident, Mr Morgan was brought to the hospital, but he was subsequently pronounced dead.
“This was an extraordinarily unfortunate occurrence that left four children without a parent,” Det Supt Siobhan Gainer of Merseyside Police said.
“Although no punishment can bring Paul back, I hope the outcome can provide some peace to his family.”
“While spending his considerable jail term, I hope Joshua will now ponder on the implications of his conduct.”
