According to authorities, a cab struck and killed a 19-year-old male.
At around 02:30 BST, the man was struck while walking down Scotland Road in Liverpool, according to Merseyside Police.
Emergency personnel declared him deceased at the site.
The cab driver reportedly stopped and is assisting the police with their investigation. They claimed to have notified the victim’s relatives and made a plea for anyone with information to get in touch with them.
“We are aware that there was a number of persons in the vicinity who may have observed the event, and we want them to please call us as soon as possible,” Det Sgt. Kurt Timpson said.
