Gunman Jailed for Street Fight in Hollywood

According to authorities, two males got into an argument and then got into a fight between two busy auto repair shops in Hollywood, punching and grappling on the ground before a revolver went off twice, wounding one man in the foot.

According to the arrest report, 29-year-old Nathaniel Nijah Reid was losing the struggle when he fired the bullets and left.

According to two witnesses, the shooting victim had been lying on top of Reid at that point at 5637 Funston Street between two parked automobiles.

“Bigs, leave me alone. You won’t get shot by me. Please assist me,” Reid reportedly pleaded in the report.

According to authorities, one of the two witnesses heard the two bullets while intervening to break up the altercation.

According to authorities, surveillance footage from a business security camera captured the altercation, Reid taking a revolver out of his pocket, the two men squabbling over the weapon, and finally the shooting.

Reid was taken into custody nearby.

Reid was accused of dangerous weapon aggravated battery. According to documents, he was freed from the Broward County Jail later that day after posting a $7,500 bail.

The police report had the identities of the two witnesses and the gunshot victim deleted.
