Fourth suspect bailed after man shot dead in Dingle

A fourth suspect who was detained on suspicion of shooting and killing a 22-year-old guy on the street has been released on bail.

Sam Rimmer passed away in the hospital on August 16 after being shot in the upper torso while standing outside Lavrock Bank in Dingle, Liverpool.

A 23-year-old male who was detained on Saturday was released on bail awaiting more investigation, according to Merseyside Police.

Three individuals, ages 17, 20, and 21, who have been detained on murder suspicions have already been freed on bond.

Following a slew of police warrants obtained in response to a wave of gun and knife assaults in Liverpool, the most recent arrest was made.

Ashley Dale, 28, passed away on August 21 after being shot in her yard in Old Swan, and Karen Dempsey, 55, passed away on August 22 in a hospital after being stabbed in a Kirkby bar parking lot.

Ms. Dempsey’s killing occurred on the same day that nine-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel was shot and died inside her house.

Anyone with knowledge regarding any of the fatalities is asked to contact Merseyside Police.
