Florida college student allegedly killed by woman who claimed her car broke down

Authorities in Florida claim that a lady a college student stopped to assist while traveling through an Alabama national forest last week murdered him.

The suspect Yasmine Hider flagged down Adam Simjee, 22, and his girlfriend Mikayla Paulus, 22, on August 14 when they were traveling through the Talladega National Forest, according to a statement from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Fox station WBRC said.

According to law police, Hider took out a revolver and ordered the University of Central Florida students to follow him into the woods when they stopped to assist the woman, according to NBC News.

Simjee allegedly took out his hidden weapon and shot Hider many times in the body before being shot himself, the sheriff said in the statement, WBRC reported.

Simjee passed away at the site, according to the sheriff, the news sources stated.

The sheriff’s statement said that Paulus, who was unharmed in the shooting, contacted 911 and informed emergency personnel about another lady who was there at the area when the shooting occurred.

According to the sheriff’s office, Krystal Pinkins was subsequently located and taken into custody, as stated in the news sources.

The news sites said that when law officers located Pinkins and told her to get on the ground, “a 5-year-old kid rushed from the woods clutching a loaded shotgun.”

The boy, subsequently identified as Pinkins’s son, was allegedly urged by police authorities to put the shotgun down but continued to move toward his mother before doing so, according to the news sites.

Pinkins was accused with one case of murder, two counts of abduction, two counts of robbery, and endangering the welfare of a child, according to the statement, the news sources said.

According to the news sources, her kid was sent to the state for care.

According to the news sites, Hider was accused of committing two kidnappings, two robberies, and one case of murder.
