Chilling 911 Call Released After Mother Fatally Stabbed 3-Year-Old in North Miami Beach

The horrifying 911 call made by the woman who admitted to fatally stabbing her 3-year-old daughter in North Miami Beach on Tuesday morning has been made public by police.

On the 911 call, 24-year-old Jellisa Amoya Baxter stated, “I just killed my kid.”

Baxter reacted calmly when the operator inquired how she killed her daughter “I attempted to choke her. I used a knife to stab her after that failed.”

According to the North Miami Beach Police Department, the incident happened early on Tuesday morning in an apartment in the 1000 block of Northeast 163rd Street.

A knife was reportedly discovered by the child’s body, which had several severe stab wounds, by the detectives.

According to NMBPD, Baxter was arrested on Tuesday and appeared in court for the first time on Wednesday.

Baxter’s stepfather Harold Hemmings stated, “She’s unwell. That’s all I can say.

When Baxter’s mother passed away from cancer in September of last year, Hemmings claims to have once met Baxter and her infant.

Hemmings remarked, “She didn’t seem like an awful mama to me. She appeared to be a decent mother, you know.

Hemmings claims to have no explanation for Baxter’s actions.

According to available data, Baxter was unemployed and just received an eviction notice.

According to authorities, Baxter has been charged with first-degree murder and severe child abuse. She is also subject to a Jamaican immigration hold.
