The annual holiday food basket giveaway by CAMACOL will take place on Wednesday, continuing a seasonal tradition in South Florida.
At the Latin Chamber of Commerce of the USA headquarters in the 1400 block of West Flagler Street, a long line of people formed hours before the 7 a.m. giveaway.
Food necessities like coffee, bread, rice, pasta, and tinned foods were included in the food baskets. Beef and pork are also generally available.
While organizers have in the past been able to give away thousands of baskets, this year they can only distribute up to 700.
