Investigators from the Broward Sheriff’s Office are investigating into allegations of an allegedly violent arrest that happened last week.
Deputies were summoned to the Bonaventure Town Center Club on December 22 after reports of a group using marijuana there, according to an arrest record.
After speaking with the club’s director, deputies requested four young guys to leave. One of the males shouted obscenities at the executive director and referred to him as a “racist” as the group grew boisterous.
While issuing trespass warnings to the group, deputies detained Khalil Pace, 22, and charged him with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
There were no reported injuries, but according to BSO, they are investigating the arrest “to see if the force employed was consistent with agency training and policy.”
