Armed Man Burglarizes SW Miami-Dade Home

While police are looking for the suspect, surveillance footage shows a burglar entering into a residence in southwest Miami-Dade while armed and wearing a mask.

Homeowner Ronald Monohan said that his family and himself were sound sleeping during the Saturday am break-in.

“We are Venezuelans. For those 20 years, we resided in Venezuela “explained Monohan. “In Venezuela, I have experienced two assaults. And we are anxious because of this incidence.

The thief, who was seen on Ring footage, is clad in a hood, gloves, and a rifle.

According to Monohan, they had left their rear door open in case any visitors went outside and came back inside.

Instead, an armed guy enters via the sliding door that is not locked. He promptly removes Monohan’s gadgets and discovers the car’s keys.

“He entered my workspace. My handbag, two laptops, and money clip were there “explained Monohan. “I believe he was content with what he received. Thankfully, he avoided going inside the bedrooms.

Even though the burglary only took place in ten minutes, according to Monahan, things might have been worse. All of his family members were there in the house.

I believe that this occurs regularly, but thankfully, it did not develop into a more serious scenario “explained Monohan.

Around a month ago, another burglary occurred on the same street, according to Monohan.

Call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS if you have any information.
