To try to discourage young people from picking up the habit, three Minnesota communities will discuss raising the tobacco sales age to 21 on Tuesday.
At 7 p.m. Tuesday, public hearings on the topic will be held in Brooklyn Center, Arden Hills, and Eden Prairie.
The age of purchase has already been raised to 21 in fifteen other Minnesota communities.
A final vote will be held at Brooklyn Center on Tuesday. They’re also thinking of making e-cigarettes available solely at adult-only stores.
