Police said that a youngster shot Wednesday night in the Payne-Phalen district of St. Paul was in serious condition.
According to Sgt. David McCabe, a representative for the St. Paul Police Department, officers were called to the 1000 block of East Rose Street at around 6:30 p.m., where they discovered the youngster suffering from a gunshot wound.
The youngster was taken to Regions Hospital by paramedics from the St. Paul Fire Department.
According to McCabe, the shooting is still being investigated, and no one has been taken into custody.
