Stephen Curry Slams The Warriors With 46 Points

In the NBA, Stephen Curry scored 46 points to lead the Golden State Warriors to a 113-104 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies.

This is his third game this season in which he has scored more than 45 points.

Curry, the NBA’s Most Valuable Player in 2015 and 2016, made eight three-pointers, while Gary Payton Jr added four to the Warriors’ 22 points.

Steve Kerr, the Warriors’ coach, called it a “classic Steph” effort.

The victory maintains the Warriors in a tie for first place in the NBA with the Phoenix Suns.

Memphis’ Ja Morant scored 21 points in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 102-102, setting up a suspenseful conclusion. However, the Warriors pulled away with baskets from Juan Tosco-Anderson, Gary Payton Jr., and Stephen Curry to earn the victory.

Devin Booker scored 30 points to lead the Phoenix Suns to a 113-101 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder in Phoenix.

The Suns were behind three points at halftime, but came back to win in the third and fourth quarters.

Despite a 36-point outburst by LeBron James for the home team, the San Antonio Spurs cruised to win on the road, defeating the Los Angeles Lakers 138-110.

Drew Eubanks added 30 points off the bench, while Keita Bates-Diop had a career-high 30 points.

The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Dallas Mavericks 102-95 despite being missing two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo due to Covid-19. The Bucks won back-to-back games thanks to 72 points from DeMarcus Cousins, Jrue Holiday, and Khris Middleton.

The Atlanta Hawks beat the Philadelphia 76ers 98-86, despite losing seven players due to Covid-19. Bogdan Bogdanovic scored 10 of his 15 points in the final four minutes.

The New York Knicks were defeated 124-117 by the Washington Wizards, despite Kemba Walker’s 44 points. Spencer Dinwiddie scored 21 points, had 12 assists, and grabbed seven rebounds.

In other games, the Charlotte Hornets overcame the Denver Nuggets after Kelly Oubre Jr. scored 14 points in the fourth quarter, while the Indiana Pacers defeated the Houston Rockets thanks to Myles Turner’s 32 points.

Kyle Lowry scored 21 points to lead the Miami Heat to a 115-112 victory over the Detroit Pistons, the Utah Jazz defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves, and Brandon Ingram scored 31 points to lead the New Orleans Pelicans past the Orlando Magic.

The Brooklyn Nets’ game against the Portland Trail Blazers has been postponed due to a Covid outbreak among the Nets’ players. It was the Nets’ third delay in a row; they were scheduled to play the Lakers on December 25.
