Ubisoft has announced that Rainbow Six: Extraction will be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch, as part of its Ubisoft Plus subscription program. Ubisoft Plus is a $14.99 a month subscription service that gives you access to over 100 Ubisoft games, including titles like Far Cry 6.
According to Ubisoft community manager Daniel O’Connor, the company isn’t saying when its subscription service will be available on Xbox, only that it “will be coming to Xbox in the future.” In 2020, Microsoft will add EA’s Play subscription service to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, although Ubisoft Plus on Xbox “will be a distinct subscription from Game Pass,” according to the company.
When Rainbow Six: Extraction launches on January 20th, it will be available on Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate from the start. After Microsoft announced earlier this week that Mass Effect Legendary Edition, The Anacrusis, and Spelunky 2 will be coming to Xbox Game Pass shortly, it’s the first significant addition for 2022.
Rainbow Six: Extraction is a tactical first-person shooter that allows up to three buddies to create a squad or play solo against what is billed as a “unpredictable” player vs. enemy encounter. Rainbow Six: Extraction will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Google Stadia, and Amazon Luna on January 20th.
