For streamers who have left or have yet to test Disney Plus, the company is providing a fantastic price. One month of Disney Plus will cost just $2 for new and qualified returning users.
The deal is one of several that the service has announced as part of its upcoming Disney Plus Day on November 12th. Subscribers may take advantage of additional privileges at Disney parks on Disney Plus Day, in addition to receiving a month of subscription for free. At the Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, the benefits include early park access 30 minutes before the gates open, as well as complimentary Disney PhotoPass photo downloads.
On the retail front, new merchandise from Marvel, Pixar, and Star Wars will be available on ShopDisney. From November 12th through November 14th, Disney Plus customers may get free delivery in the United States and Europe. In the meanwhile, Disney ebooks will be available for $1 through November 17th. In addition, the firm is collaborating with Target to provide exclusive freebies to subscribers who sign up in-store.
With the code DISNEYPLUSDAY, Disney is also working with Funko to offer 10% off Disney Plus items. (From November 8th to November 14th, the same coupon may be used at WizKids for a 5-percent discount on Disney items, which will arrive with a Marvel-themed gift.) In addition, starting at 6 a.m. PT on November 12th, new Star Wars Funko goods will be available at BringHometheBounty.com.
In addition, from November 12th to November 14th, selected AMC theaters will show surprise Disney films for $5 per ticket. You won’t know what you’re about to watch until the show starts, and each screening will feature a surprise short film. The admission fee includes special refreshments and a Disney Plus poster. There will be around 200 AMC cinemas participating.
Finally, a 2021 event wouldn’t be complete without some sort of NFT hijinks, would it? Disney has teamed up with VeVe to sell limited-edition golden sculptures of characters from the Disney family of brands and properties, including The Simpsons. The NFT series will debut on November 7th, and on Disney Plus Day, a “ultra-rare” collectable will be available.
Disney Plus will revert to its standard $8 per month price after the one-month $2 offer period. So, if you’re planning to try out the service on the cheap and then cancel it before the price quadruples, remember to set a reminder to terminate your membership before the price quadruples.
