For a considerable portion of early Monday afternoon, several Apple services were down.
iMessage, several Apple Maps services, iCloud Mail, iCloud Keychain, the App Store, Apple Music, Apple TV Plus, and Podcasts were among the services experiencing confirmed faults, according to Apple’s system status website. However, after about 3:45 p.m. ET, every service has a green signal and states that the issues have been rectified. Apple has yet to react to a request for comment on what may have happened.
Downdetector received indications of difficulties just after 12 p.m. ET, however reports appear to have decreased in the hours after the outages were originally reported. The Verge team has seen sporadic issues with iMessage and other critical services, however the issues haven’t affected everyone equally.
Apple’s corporate and retail systems are also down, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman – which, according to this tweet, appears to suggest that some Apple Store personnel have had to work on paper.
Some users on the r/sysadmin subreddit said they couldn’t use Apple’s business manager interface. According to a tweet from WhatsAppBetaInfo, the issues also affected other applications (for example, trying to back up your chat history to iCloud).
