It’s finally spring and we plan to celebrate! Come to the Earth
Day Celebration on Saturday, April 22, 2017, 10 am - 2 pm at the
Harriet Alexander Nature Center (HANC) in Roseville. In addition
to celebrating the Earth, we’ll also mark HANC's 27th birthday.
You can check out the exhibits and activities inside the
building, check out Eureka’s recycling truck in the parking
lot, or take a guided tour of the marsh on the boardwalk. Once
again we’re thrilled to have our Earth Day Celebration
     sponsored by Half Price Books.

In honor of Arbor Day, April 28, we’ll give away red maple tree
seedlings to the first 100 families; there will be free seed
packets (while supplies last); free reusable tote bags, courtesy
of Half Price Books and Rethink Recycling; free Chinook Books
(coupons for local businesses) to the first 100 families,
courtesy of Roseville’s Music Go-Round; and everyone can enter
a free drawing for a rain barrel, compost bin, or other great
     prizes.

Boardwalk tours, activities, crafts and planting for butterflies
run from 10am-1pm, including interactive performances by Will
Hale and the Tadpole Parade. There will be the popular Walking
Parade ending with birthday cake for all to celebrate HANC’s
     birthday.
