Lake Elmo and Oakdale experiencing uptick in residential break-ins


Oakdale is experiencing an increase in the number of burglaries in the northeast corner of the city, according to police. Lake Elmo and Oakdale are experiencing an increase in the number of break-ins, especially in instances where doors to vehicles, garages or homes are left unlocked.

Ground broken for new Lake Elmo nature center


The groundbreaking celebration for a new nature center in Lake Elmo was held Sept. 10 in Sunfish Lake Park. The Sally Manzara Interpretive Nature Center is being built in memory of a longtime Lake Elmo resident who enjoyed visiting Sunfish Lake Park, nature centers and gift shops. Construction completed in downtown Lake Elmo

A ribbon cutting was held in downtown Lake Elmo the morning of Aug. 21 to mark the end of a five-year construction project to revitalize the downtown area.

Lake Elmo Fire Department hosts pancake breakfast

During the annual Lake Elmo Huff n’ Puff weekend Aug. 12 and 13, the Lake Elmo Fire Department hosted an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast complete with sausage patties, orange juice and coffee.
