Registration is required once for both sessions. Open to ages 7 to 11, this is sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline’s Science in the Summer. Scott Patrick Memorial anniversary

July 30 will mark the fifth anniversary of Officer Scott Patrick’s death in the line of duty. The community is invited to attend an observance event in his honor on July 30 where the shooting took place in West St. Paul near the intersection of Dodd Road and Smith Avenue. Participants should gather at noon. There will be reflections by those who knew Patrick and a moment of silence at 12:20 p.m.

C.O.P.S in the Park

Anytime Fitness will be hosting an obstacle course for kids of all ages to test their SWAT skills. Each kid to complete the obstacle course will receive a SWAT School prize pack and certificate of completion. All community members are encouraged to attend. There will be food and drinks on site. This will run from 5 to 8 p.m., at Harmon Park, 230 Bernard St., on July 31.
