NEWSBRIEF: Food shelf launches March campaign

The Ralph Reeder Food Shelf in Mounds View is taking donations for a March food drive that a Twin Cities organization will match.

Donations made through April 8 will be matched by the Minnesota Foodshare organization, according to a press release from the food shelf. Non-perishable food items and hygiene products can be brought to the Mounds View location between 9 a.m. and noon, Monday through Friday, or by appointment.

The most needed items, according to the food shelf, are peanut butter, chicken noodle soup, hamburger and tuna helpers, canned meals, flour, sugar, oil and laundry detergent.

Monetary donations can be made online. Donations in person can be made at the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf at 2544 Mounds View Blvd.
