Lions Club chili feed

The Maplewood North Lions Club is holding its 13th annual chili feed on Thursday, Feb. 28, starting at 4 p.m. at Gulden’s Restaurant. It’s $9 per person, which includes unlimited chili, bread, crackers, coffee, milk and dessert. Take-out chili is available for $8 a quart. Gulden’s is located at 2999 Highway 61 in Maplewood.


Support group for gamilies 

National Alliance on Mental Illness Minnesota sponsors free support groups for families and friends of individuals living with a mental illness in Oakdale on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month, starting at 6 p.m., at Canvas Health in the community room. Led by trained facilitators who also have a family member with mental illness, the support groups help families develop better coping skills and find strength through sharing their experiences. Canvas Health is located at 7066 Stillwater Blvd in Oakdale. For information call at 651-341-8918.


Knights of Columbus fish fry

The Knights of Columbus is hosting lent fish fries March 15, 22, 29 and April 5 and 12 starting at 4 p.m. at the Church of St. Peter. The cost is $11 for adults, $10 for seniors, $3 for children 7-12 and free for kids under 6 years old. Deep-fried and baked gluten-free cod is available, as well as au gratin potatoes, mac and cheese, green beans, coleslaw, breadsticks and applesauce. Take-out dinners are available.
