Climate conversation coming to Silver Lake Park

A roundtable of panelists will discuss climate change issues during a Feb. 16 event at Silverwood Park.

The event is called Climate Generation: A Will Steger Legacy and is hosted by the Three Rivers Park Districtís Climate Conversation Series.. It’s billed as a discussion of climate through the lens of artistic advocacy.

The multi-hour event will include breakout sessions and interactive discussions.

Speakers and workshop presenters are Dawn Bentley, executive director of Minnesota Fringe; Mary Beth Garrigan, artist and educator; Ben Weaver, musician and poet; Kristen Poppleton, director of programs for Climate Generation; Erin Sharkey of Free Black Dirt; Ryan Clancy, filmmaker and journalist; Futures North; Water Bar and Public Studio; Yo Mama Watering (W)hole; and Sister Black Press.

It will run from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The park is at 2500 County Road E.
