Turkey bingo

A turkey bingo will be held at the Presentation of Mary Church on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 7 to 10 p.m.. The event will be held in the churchís gym, which is located at the corner of Larpenteur Avenue and Kennard Street. Throughout the evening, 12 turkey door prizes will be given out. Hard cards will be sold for 25 cents per game. Food and refreshments will be available for sale starting at 6 p.m. For more information or questions, call the parish office at 651-776-8116.


Holiday craft and bake sale

Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church, located at 1669 Arcade St. N., will have its annual holiday arts and crafts, bake sale, and Kaffestuga — or coffee house — on Saturday, Nov. 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information or questions call the church at 651-774-5954.


Santa’s workshop

Kids may stop by the Hazel Park Recreation Center, 945 Hazel Ave. N., on Dec. 11, 5:30 to 8 p.m. to come to Santa’s workshop to purchase gifts for their parents, siblings and friends. All gifts will be under $1 with a limit of $10 per child. Participants will be chaperoned by staff, St. Paul Police officers and Harding High School ROTC members, who will help kids wrap their gifts. This event is open to kids ages 17 and under. For more information call the recreation center at 651-501-6351.

Young adult mental health support group 

Young Adult NAMI Connection — for those between the ages of 18 and 30 — is a free mental health support group sponsored by NAMI Minnesota (National Alliance on Mental Illness). A group meets in St. Paul on the first and third Tuesdays of the month from 6:30 to 8 p.m., at Unity Church - Unitarian, 733 Portland Ave., in the Owl Room on the lower level. The group is facilitated by young adults living with a mental illness and doing well in recovery. For information contact Tess at 507-226-3369 or Leah at 207-272-4450.
