LETTER: Podgorski: 'An honest and trustworthy leader'

To the Editor:

I write today to urge the citizens of West St. Paul, South St. Paul, Sunfish Lake and part of Inver Grove Heights to join me in voting for Todd Podgorski for our county commissioner on Nov. 6.

I’ve gotten to know Todd over the past couple years, and what impresses me the most about Todd is his character. Todd is the increasingly rare public official who is humble, straightforward and honest. He is also a devoted husband and father of three children and active at his local parish, St. John Vianney Catholic Church, in South St. Paul.

Moreover, Todd is a devoted servant leader with a demonstrated track record of staying true to his values while working with people of all political persuasions to accomplish things beneficial to the common good of all of his constituents. For example, while serving in his current role on the South St. Paul City Council, Todd led the successful effort to pass a referendum to provide funding for improvements for parks and the Doug Woog Ice Arena.

I am confident that if we elect Todd as our next county commissioner, the citizens of West St. Paul, South St. Paul, Sunfish Lake and Inver Grove Heights will have an honest and trustworthy leader who will listen to us and tirelessly advocate for the bread and butter issues important to us in his service on the Dakota County Board of Commissioners. Vote for Todd on Tuesday, Nov. 6.
