LETTER: An honor to serve IGH

To the Editor:

It has been an honor to serve the residents of Inver Grove Heights the last four years on the city council. We have accomplished a great deal over the last four years and Inver Grove Heights has momentum on its side. There are many good things happening in Inver Grove Heights, and I thought I would list a few of them.

• We have a AA+ bond rating, which allows us to borrow money at very good interest rates.

• We have great parks and amenities.

• We have very active and involved commissions i.e. parks, planning, housing, etc.

• We have a responsive and engaged city council.

• We are managing our growth strategically with fiscal responsibility.

• We have excellent police and fire departments run by very competent chiefs.

• Our focus on development is paying off, in tandem with showing respect to existing neighborhoods.

• We have returned civility and respect to all city council meetings.

• We have instituted a new city-wide Customer Service Policy that is starting to pay dividends.

I am proud of what we have accomplished and have personally pledged to run a positive campaign. I am asking for your vote on Nov. 6 to serve a second and final term.

Paul Hark

Candidate for Inver Grove Heights City Council
