FAITH: Benedictine Center opportunities

The Benedictine Center in Maplewood is offering these upcoming opportunities in October:

• Friday, Oct 19, 7 to 9 p.m. — Taize Prayer: A Day of Reflection. Taize prayer is a world-wide phenomenon consisting of simple chants based on the Scriptures and periods of silence, creating an environment that helps participants encounter the mystery of God. Refreshments will be served afterwards.

• Thursday, Oct 25, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. — Great Conversation: Change IS Possible. Led by Dr. Diane Millis, inspirational speaker, teacher and author, participants will discuss the possibility of becoming more aware of their potential for change to a life based on peace, tolerance, selflessness and generosity.
