Inquiring Minds: Taking a class online

Q. I must take an eight-hour class online, but I don’t have a computer. Can I do this at your library?

A. You should be able to take your class in any of our locations. When you log onto one of our computers, you sign on for an initial two hours; then, if there’s no one waiting, you’ll get additional time in half hour increments. Usually there is no problem staying on the computer for many hours at a time, but be aware that, if the library is very busy, you may have to take your class over more than one day. You need a library card and PIN to log into our computers. If you don’t have your own card, you can ask at the reference desk for a guest pass or other assistance.
